Emergency winches for a shaft

Emergency winches for the emergency rescue of personnel in a shaft in Belarus.

• For a shaft of a mine in Belarus, LCS designed and manufactured two emergency winches for the rescue of personnel, who might be in the shaft in the event of a blackout. The winches are equipped with an emergency power generator to ensure power supply throughout the rescue. Furthermore, the winches have been built in compliance with the TAS 8 directive and are also certified according to TR (GOST standard). They are equipped with three different types of brakes. A service brake, a safety brake and an immobilisation brake which is designed as a ratchet. In addition to the safety features such as overload limitation and overspeed monitoring, the winches have an interface to the entire construction site to ensure overall control.
