Hungerburgbahn Innsbruck

9.5 to cable crane system above the city of Innsbruck for the construction of the Hungerburgbahn.

• A LCS cable crane system was used in 2006 for the new construction of the Hungerburgbahn in Innsbruck, exactly 100 years after the grand opening of the old railway. The railway connects Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, with the “Alpen Zoo” and the “Nordkettenbahn”. LCS was responsible for the transport of construction material, as well as rail structures and its assembly.
  
  The system which was equipped with horizontal bends had to be assembled on a narrow track. Several high frequented footpaths were crossed, i.e. that safety measures became even more important. Furthermore, due to tourism and nearby residential areas the noise pollution had to be reduced to a minimum.
